I am Rebecca Lawrence-Bristol, Founder of Magenta Swan Ltd.
I have been an event manager and professional conference organiser for 30 years. I have focussed on being the best event manager I can be - with the widest possible experience, at hundreds of locations, working with numerous clients.
-
I have organised, supported and been part of hundreds of events.
I have had contact with tens of thousands of delegates and their bookings (approximately 40,000 at the last count). Frequently, a delegate at a conference becomes a future client because they were impressed by my performance. This is very satisfying and very motivational.
Over the years I have also had articles published in trade press and I have contributed to text books on event management.
Using my languages I have run conferences in Europe and I have also been a consultant in the USA to a client who wished for me to lead his inexperienced team towards a highly successful event (it worked!)
I am proud to have set up – and led – a 10 year international programme whereby multilingual administration students from the South of France would come and have a placement with me every summer to gain an insight into the industry. As a linguist, this programme was especially dear to my heart.

Events have become a very significant part of my life.
I love what they represent: groups of people coming together with a common goal, benefitting from slick administration and thoughtful event management, leading to memories made for all the right reasons.
Outside of work I have volunteered for events and I have also become a key volunteer in the Organisers’ Team of the Blenheim Palace Horse Trials which is one of the most prestigious three-day equine events in the world with around 50,000 visitors each September. My unpaid role is interfacing with owners, riders, sponsors and the public and I am the front line to represent the Event Director and team. There is always something to learn from an event, whatever level of responsibility you carry.
When I am not at events, I have a horse with whom I slowly enjoy the Hampshire countryside through the seasons.
I also regularly compete in RHS national Floral Art Shows (see my Floristry page) and my other passion is cooking/entertaining; I have been on cookery courses in Seville, Salamanca, Marrakech, Ireland and the UK.

GET IN TOUCH
If you like what you see here and would like to discuss your event with me, please get in touch via my Contact page, or the contact form here. I accept just a few floral event bookings per year, in order to ensure appropriate attention and time to each.
I am convinced that the key to a really beautiful event is to find the best match of florist and host.
